Our Aviation History

I was introduced to aviation in the early 90s as a young boy. My uncle owned a small plane and would often fly up to my hometown in central Wisconsin and give me airplane rides. Everything about flying captivated me back then– and it still does today!

In 2006, I joined a flying club while in college for Mechanical Engineering. The Chief Pilot of that club was an incredible instructor, mentor, and friend. He took the small flame of passion I had for flying, fanned it into a fire, and forged a pilot out of me. After earning my instructor license, I left the engineering field to pursue my passion and become a career pilot. I flight-instructed full-time in the Milwaukee area before joining a regional airline in 2019, flying the Embraer 175. In early 2023 I joined a major airline and currently fly the Boeing 737.

I started Milwaukee Aero in 2022 in an effort to provide the same opportunity I had to learn to fly at Mitchell Field. I maintain the mission and spirit of a flying club, intent on providing low-cost access to flight training in safe airplanes at a great location. I also enjoy mentoring aspiring pilots and helping others achieve their goals. Milwaukee Aero is my way of giving back all that aviation has given me.
