Our Story

Rooted In Milwaukee.

Looking Forward.

Built on a long standing commitment to sound instruction, safe flying and the Milwaukee aviation community. Proudly doing it "the right way" since day one.

1971

An idea takes flight

A group of 35 UW-Milwaukee students found the UW Milwaukee Flying Club at Mitchell Field to provide affordable training to students

1980s

A Fixture in Milwaukee

Eventually taking the name Panther Aero, the flying club would grow; eventually flying over 1000 hours a year throughout the 1980s

2000s

Into The New Millenium

Panther Aero entered the 2000s with nearly 30 years of flying history but with more and more time passing, original members began slowing down or ending their flying careers.

2022

A New Vision

With membership on the decline, the flying club elects to disolve. Wanting to continue the legacy and history of general aviation at Milwaukee Mitchell International, Jamey Curry opens Milwaukee Aero as a new aircraft rental and flight training business.

Today

Training The Next Generation

Milwaukee Aero continues helping pilots build skill, confidence and a lifelong connection to flying. With a growing team of instructors, more aircraft and more students, Milwaukee Aero has become one of the largest flight schools in Southeastern Wisconsin
